Study NSW wins international education excellence award

Study NSW have won the Best Practice Award in the 2023 International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) Excellence AwardsExternal Link  for the NSW Jobs Connect for International Students program.

Announced at the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC)External Link , the Study NSW team’s work was recognised among outstanding individuals and teams dedicated to enhancing international education in Australia.

NSW Jobs Connect for International Students is an innovative program between Study NSW, SEEK and NSW employers which aims to connect help international students with employers to launch their global careers. International students can search for jobs, internships and career-ready masterclasses, while NSW employers can access skills and talent.

In addition to this outstanding achievement and the flash new Study NSW websiteExternal Link , the Study NSW Higher Education Mission to Latin America has just wrapped up, which deserves a huge congratulations to everyone who has been involved in the project onshore and offshore.

The mission was the first to the region and delivered on its goal to support the diversification of the NSW international education sector. Study NSW partnered with 8 public and private NSW higher education providers, as well as with Austrade, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and student recruitment agency BMI to deliver a range of education fairs and other engagement activities, including co-hosting events in Mexico (Mexico City), Colombia (Bogota) and Chile (Santiago) from 21 September to 12 October 2023.

Altogether, it was an amazing success with more than 24 events in 3 cities, and in-person engagement with 2 primary scholarship bodies, 30 international education agents, 45 local universities, 50 local high schools, over 60 alumni, and more than 7,000 local prospective students and their parents.
