Win a laptop competition terms and conditions

Eligibility

The Competition is open to all international students who are currently enrolled at a recognised educational institution in NSW (must have a CRICOS code). *Please note that Employees of the Competition organiser and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Game of skills

The Competition is a game of skills, and the winner will be determined by the quality and creativity of their entry as per point 3 below.

Entry requirements

To enter the Competition, participants must submit an entry in the form of a short answer (no longer than 25 words) answering the question (In 25 words or less, tell us why NSW is the best place to study, live and work). Entries must be submitted by 5pm on 31 May 2023 via the Microsoft Form link.

Ownership of entries

All entries become the property of the Competition organiser (Study NSW) and may be used for promotional purposes. Study NSW accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected or damaged entries or other communications.

Winner selection

The winner will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by Study NSW on Study NSW social media accounts on 30 June 2023. The decision of e judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prize

The winner will receive a laptop, as specified in the Competition announcement. No cash alternative is available. Participant acknowledges and agrees that if the Prize is not available, for whatever reason, Study NSW reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a Prize of equal value, subject to the laws of New South Wales.

Notification

The winner will be notified by email within 30 days of the closing date of 31 May 2023. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the Prize within 14 days of the notification, the Prize will be forfeited, and the Competition organiser reserves the right to select the runner up.

Privacy

By entering the Competition, the participant agrees to Study NSW collecting and using each participant’s personal information for the purposes of conducting the Competition (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the Competition) and for promotional purposes, public statements and advertisements in relation to the Competition.

Limitation of liability

Study NSW is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from participation in the Competition or the acceptance of the Prize. Any Prize supplied by a third-party supplier is subject to the terms and conditions of that third party supplier.

Governing law

The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of New South Wales and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New South Wales

Modification or termination of Competition

Study NSW reserves the right to modify or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice, and without liability to any participant or other person.

Taxes

All taxes (excluding GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

By entering this Competition, a participant is indicating his/her acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
