Tell us about your experience studying in NSW.
New South Wales has been providing all students with ample opportunities both in their studies and extra-curricular activities. One such example being the various volunteering opportunities with Study NSW. It is not always about studies and one does not survive in this world just by reading textbooks.
Experience is key and studying in NSW provided me with a work-integrated learning platform that sharpened not only my professional skills but also my interpersonal skills. It was these opportunities and experiences that made me versatile, exposed me to different situations, and skills such as working under pressure, customer service, networking and communication, problem-solving, teamwork, etc.

What has been your favourite experience in NSW?
When I came here for the first time, my top fear was the insecure feeling that many international students experience once they move to a new place and I was no different. It took me nearly one semester to observe and adapt to this beautiful environment and culture. Also seeing fellow international students and working together with them to solve problems has been a good learning and boosted my confidence level.
Having the hunger to get exposure to different things, trying various things, learning from failures are some of the key experiences that helped shape me into a professional human. I always loved traveling and NSW is a perfect spot for anyone who is interested in traveling. There are millions of places undiscovered and each one of them never ceases to amaze us with its natural scenic beauty.
What advice do you have for other international students?
Being different, being creative, being your own self are the key factors that can help one to get one's foot in the front door of life. But it is also important to remember – any success that happens at the expense of your health, your family, or your character is not real success. Be grateful when good things happen and be graceful when bitter things are happening.
Having an open, broader mindset to try and experience whatever comes in your way and also have the hunger to go out of your way and try something else might not necessarily bring success all the time but I can guarantee the exposure and experience it gives you will make you more complete.
