Tell us about your experience studying in NSW.
Studying in Australia has been a great experience for me. I’m a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head coach of an academia that has more than 300 students whom I have the opportunity to learn from and share my passion for Jiu Jitsu with. NSW is a great place to live and Jiu Jitsu will always be my passion and lifestyle.
I believe Brazilian martial arts can change your life and cultivate respect within the community. It teaches kids and adults the strength to face their daily challenges.
English language is always a big challenge for me. I come from a country that doesn’t speak English. I believe you should always be open to learning new skills and do your best to achieve your goals.

What has been your favourite experience in NSW?
I have many favorite experiences but nothing compares to being able to teach my students Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which I am born to do.
What advice do you have for other international students?
Be the best version of yourself. Don’t be lazy. Live outside of your comfort zone. Don't be upset if you don’t speak English well, but try to challenge yourself every day. Enjoy every single day as the last day of your life. Don’t step over others to achieve anything, your time will come.
What opportunities has studying in NSW given to you?
I come to Australia in September of 2019 with no English. I have been pushing myself hard to learn the language. After spending 5 months at my English school, I could see great improvement in my English language skills. Currently I’m studying a Diploma IV in Sport and Coaching at College of Sport and Fitness. It’s a great school to develop my professional skills.
