About Diego

Diego Luna Alamilla is an international student and Diploma of Counselling graduate from the Australian Learning Group (ALG), recognised for his compassion, leadership, and commitment to mental health and inclusivity. 

 

Throughout his studies, Diego became a vital peer mentor, supporting new international students, initiating wellbeing check-ins, and establishing safe spaces for open conversation. His dedication extends into the NSW community, where he works with primary and secondary school students facing mental health challenges, particularly in under-resourced areas. Diego’s efforts, including volunteering at youth centres and his ongoing work with MyStrengths Australia, bridge the gap for young people in need and foster a sense of hope and belonging.  

 

His sustained, purpose-driven engagement has made a lasting impact in the community, demonstrating his exceptional empathy, leadership, and advocacy for mental health and wellbeing.
