What has been your favourite experience in NSW?

My favourite experience in NSW would be travelling to CSU's rural campuses at Orange and Dubbo. The travel was accompanied by beautiful NSW rural scenery, learning about traditional Aboriginal cultures, meeting amazing people and seeing beautiful wildlife.

What advice do you have for other international students?

You should always say yes to volunteering activities to get exposure, meet new people and feel good about doing something for the community. In addition, get to know your lecturers and classmates, they will have good stories to tell.

Also, get out of Sydney and visit other areas of NSW. You will be amazed at how beautiful and different every place is.

What opportunities has studying in NSW given to you?

A great study experience with world class lecturers and exceptionally talented classmates. Besides studying, I was selected as a student leader in my university where our team helped new international students transition into their study and university life.

I also received many volunteering opportunities such as helping new international students at the Study NSW International Student Welcome Desk at Sydney Airport. I also volunteered with the organising team for International Youth Fest 2018 with The City of Sydney and Study NSW.

Additionally, I joined the Council of International Students Australia (CISA) as a documentation coordinator where I worked closely with the CISA president and other executives. Volunteering at CISA presented me with different opportunities to learn and contribute to different issues.

Thanks to the opportunities and exposure Study NSW has provided, I've been able to transition from a shy stranger in a foreign land to a confident student leader.
