Fun fact about you

I’m addicted to social media and and love to read about politics. I spend hours and hours on Twitter reading world updates.

What advice do you have for other international students?

If you are an international student please get involved in everything you come across. You will find yourself through the activities that you take part in. It is equally important to gain work experience by volunteering. This will help you to gain an Australian experience and eventually lead you to employment opportunities.

What opportunities has studying in NSW given to you?

Studying in NSW gave me opportunities that I wouldn't have had if I went to another state. During my time at UTS and UTS Insearch, I had the privilege of getting involved in both on-campus and off-campus activities. I participated in the ‘Racism. It Stops With Me’ campaign lead by the UTS Society of Communications. Then, I became the Vice President of ActivateUTS and supported the President in leading the student directors team, facilitating two-way communication between clubs and societies with ActivateUTS and chairing committee meetings. Following this, I had the privilege of travelling to the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and Thailand as a representative of my university. It is through these opportunities that I gained different skills, built my portfolio, made connections and, most importantly, improved my English skills.

What has been your favourite experience in NSW?

Studying in NSW has been my favourite experience. In completing my degree, I learnt so much about world politics, leadership qualities, study expectations, the effects of my own actions and an important life lesson that it's not always about winning or doing everything right. The experience of studying here has helped shaped my life and I am forever grateful for that.
