Fun fact

I enjoy watching National Rugby League and the NSW State of Origin. I am a huge fan of the Sydney Roosters. I also enjoy volunteering as it is a great way to meet people of various cultures, make new friends, learn and share new skills and knowledge, and helps me develop a positive and professional mindset.

What opportunities has studying in NSW given to you?

Studying in NSW has provided me with the opportunity to interact with many groups of people from different parts of the world, fostering a deeper understanding of their culture and appreciation of their experiences. Moreover, this has helped me build confidence in my storytelling abilities as I share my experiences with others.

What has been your favourite experience in NSW?

My favourite experience so far has been volunteering for the Lord Mayor’s Welcome event organised by the City of Sydney at the Sydney Town Hall which welcomed over 1000 international student across 60 countries and introduced them to the community groups, health and safety services and tertiary education institutions.

What advice do you have for other international students?

Be sure to volunteer as it is a great way to meet friends and give back to local communities. Be careful not to take on too many volunteering commitments as your studies are your top priority. Find a balance that works for you!
