Tell us about your experience

Studying in Sydney was such a great experience. I joined many clubs and societies back in my university days, volunteered at an international student body, and met many like-minded students. We shared similar study experiences and became lifelong friends.

Did you work for employers or industry groups? If yes, how did it benefit your career?

I enrolled in the Industry Placement ProgramExternal Link  by the University of Sydney. The program allowed me to work at a local firm to gain career experience and get a sneak peek of professional life in Australia. During the program, I was assigned a mentor who generously shared his story on how to find work life balance and the challenges of starting your career. It was a fantastic experience. I encourage everyone to join!

Where are you working now?

Instead of pursuing law, I decided to become a marketing specialist. I'm now working at a media agency that looks after Google products. This means many of the advertisements you see on TV are done by my team!

Why did you decide to follow your chosen career path?

Marketing allows me to share my vision millions of people worldwide, and that’s the most effective way to build a community and support each other. It's also a very fun industry that gives you a lot of life experiences, such as going to movie premieres and AFL finals.

Can you share any career advice for students or recent graduates?

Be brave and don't let mistakes define you!

Do you remain involved in NSW?

Yes.
