What has been your favourite experience in NSW?
I enjoy the untouched landscapes of NSW. I'm a fan of outdoor activities. I love how I can drive 20 minutes away from my house and be in an amazing national park, filled with secret paths along waterfalls and hidden beaches. In wintertime, my partner and I love driving down to the snow and the landscapes between here and Jindabyne are stunning. More importantly, I do appreciate the friendly neighbourhood in NSW. I have listened to the most incredible stories and learnt some valuable life lessons from some remote areas in NSW. I hope to explore more of rural NSW and learn people’s stories there.

What advice do you have for other international students?
I cannot stress enough that you have to put yourself out there, try your best to connect with the locals and you will be surprised how much you can learn. I have learnt so many things about Australian culture, whether it be through people of Aboriginal, English descent or migrants. Through sharing life experiences, I have learnt so much about this Land, the people, their sorrows, their joy and resilience. But most of all, I learned about myself. I am deeply passionate about community and equal access of opportunities to all people. My passion has become my fuel. It empowered me to grow, provided me with a path to a career I truly care about and grounded me in a foreign environment in which I found, to my own surprise, that I was encouraged to also share and celebrate my own culture and thought.
Find your passion prior to your studies. It's like everything else in life - If you have the passion, you will enjoy the process and it will be all worth it.
What opportunities has studying in NSW given to you?
Studying in NSW provided endless opportunities to tap into the local community and receive a high quality education. My education institution has been nothing but supportive from day one, almost every idea I had has been taken into consideration. Ultimately it empowered me to be strongly involved with my local community and in creating an engaging campus life. I have met amazing staff and friends while studying here. I am grateful and thankful for all staff at Northern Beaches TAFE.
