GLOBAL SCOPE KICKS OFF IN 2017
Date: 06 March 2017
Our NSW Global Scope program is continuing in 2017 after the success of our pilot program that ran in the first half of 2016. The program is kicking off this week with student groups from around NSW meeting each other for the first time to plan their 6 week projects.
NSW Global Scope is a project jointly delivered by StudyNSW and Sydney based education services and technology start-up, Intersective. It has offered a Work Integrated Learning experience to almost 200 international students across the NSW public sector in 2016 with the program expected to reach around 1000 students in 2017.
The program involves matching teams of four or five students with business projects provided by government departments, facilitated through Intersective’s online ‘project learning’ platform Practera, which provides learning content, project management and collaboration functionality.
This year we have 34 projects that have been submitted by a range of businesses in both the private and public sector. The projects have a strong digital focus ranging from researching social media and brand strategies, website analysis, product assessment and customer research.
We are looking forward to seeing some strong results from our 2017 student cohort.
