AUSTRALIA AWARDS SEMINAR SERIES

On Friday 17 March, StudyNSW hosted a group of Indonesian Australia Award recipients for the first seminar in a series aimed to offer participants the opportunity to better understand NSW public sector priorities and operations.

The Premier’s Implementation Unit presented the first seminar in which students gained an insight into the value this team brings to driving the Premier’s Priorities for NSW. The students and their counterparts at Department of Premier and Cabinet explored a range of contemporary issues affecting both states. All in all it was a was lively exchange of public policy ideas, which everyone enjoyed!

Australia Awards

The Australia Awards are prestigious international scholarships and fellowships funded by the Australian Government offering the next generation of global leaders an opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development.

There are currently 114 Australia Awards Scholarship students from Indonesia studying in NSW, including 42 from Indonesian government ministries and agencies. All are doing post-graduate study and most are mid-career professionals.

Future seminars will cover NSW government initiatives in infrastructure, renewable energy, and health systems.
