2018 NSW International Student Awards - Winners announced

26 September 2018

International students and organisations that have empowered women to re-enter the workforce, delivered solutions to real business problems, and assisted with a charity’s resettlement program were among those recognised at the annual 2018 NSW International Student Awards last night.

Addressing the audience gathered at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Minister for Trade and Industry Niall Blair said the Awards, now in their 5th year, celebrate international students and organisations and their enormous contributions to NSW.

"A long way from home, international students build relationships with our students, community members, neighbours and friends. Last year more than 230,000 international students enrolled in courses across NSW’s excellent education institutions, helping to make NSW the vibrant, multicultural and dynamic place that it is. Many become great ambassadors for NSW as future leaders and advocates for trade, diplomacy and research links. Through its delivery of these awards, the NSW Government acknowledges their valuable contribution to the State and reaffirms its commitment to making their study experience in NSW the best it can be."

Study NSW extends a warm congratulations to our award winners and finalists!  We would also like to acknowledge all those who took the time to nominate for this year’s awards and recognise their efforts. Finally, thank you to everyone who came together to help us celebrate the wonderful achievements of our international student community. We would particularly like to extend our gratitude to our amazing sponsors Bupa Australia, Sonder Australia, Urbanest, Union Pay International and Colourful Trips for their generous support.
