City of Sydney Lord Mayor's Welcome for International Students
The welcome event recognises and celebrates international students' contributions to Sydney’s vibrancy, livability and cultural diversity. The event also marks the start of new and returning international students' journey, helping students to make lifelong connections in Sydney.
You will also have opportunities to meet a variety of organisations that offer a range of wonderful volunteering opportunities and support services at the event.
City of Newcastle Lord Mayor's Welcome for International Students
The City of Newcastle, University of Newcastle and Study NSW host a welcome event for international students. In 2023, more than 1,200 newly arrived international students and their families were officially welcomed to the city by the Lord Mayor and equipped with resources, services and programs to orientate them with everything Newcastle has to offer.
