Sydney Airport is an international airport located 8 km south of Sydney city centre, in the suburb of Mascot. Sydney Airport is the busiest airport in Australia and has three terminals: one international terminal (T1) and two domestic terminals (T2 and T3).
Key steps when arriving in Sydney on an international flight
Study NSW opened the International Student Welcome Desk in 2015 to greet international students arriving at Sydney International Airport.
The desk currently operates from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 1:30 pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

The City of Sydney hosts the Lord Mayor's Welcome for International Students each year in Sydney Town Hall to welcome international students to Sydney. It's a great opportunity to connect international students with each other and local services including NSW Police and Surf Life Saving NSW.
The City of Parramatta hosts a Welcome Event for International Students each year in Parramatta to welcome international students to the area and connect them with local services.
