The NSW International Education Awards recognise the outstanding contributions international students make to communities in NSW and celebrate excellence in international student community engagement.
In 2022, 220,000 international students enrolled in courses with NSW’s excellent education institutions, helping to make NSW the vibrant, multicultural and dynamic place that it is. Many international students become great ambassadors for NSW as future leaders and advocates for trade, diplomacy and research links. The NSW Government acknowledges their valuable contribution to the State and reaffirms its commitment to making their study experience in NSW the best it can be.
Two groups of awards are presented—the NSW International Student of the Year Awards and the NSW International Student
Community Engagement Awards.
The NSW International Student of the Year Awards recognise the contribution made by individual students to both the international student community and the broader NSW community. The award is offered across four categories:
The NSW International Student Community Engagement Awards recognise the contribution of education institutions, businesses and community groups that support international students to connect with the community through programs and initiatives. The award is offered across two categories:
